What Students Need To Bring...
We provide everything that a student needs, for a day of racing instruction... i.e. Karts, helmets, jackets, gloves and neck braces.
However, students should familiarize themselves with and follow these guidelines...
- Pants - Heavy denim or equivalent. No shorts allowed.
- Jackets - A leather jacket provides an extra layer of safety, over our school jackets, but is not required.
- Shoes - Regular tennis shoes are acceptable. High-tops are best, as they provide additional protection for your ankle. Students should not wear bulky or heavy shoes, because foot agility is necessary.
- Helmets - Students may bring their own helmet, but it must have an 'Snell 85' or newer approval rating. An open face helmet is acceptable, provided it has the proper Snell rating.
- Lunch - Bring whatever you or your group wants. Choices vary by individual and/or by group, ranging from simple snacks to full meals prepared in a motor home.
- Liquids - The factor most likely to diminish a student's experience is dehydration. Bring lots of liquids, particularly water... Absolutely no alcoholic beverages!
- VCR / Camera - Some days, we have adequate staff to videotape students as they circulate on the race track. Bring a VCR, if this appeals to you.
- Misc - Sunglasses and sunscreen are a good idea... So is insect repellent.
